Sojourner House
Offers protective shelter to women and their children fleeing an abusive environment and who cannot safely remain in their current residence. The short-term refuge available at Sojourner House (up to 30 days) provides women with a safe space, as well as assistance to help them meet their emotional, legal, medical, financial, housing, educational and vocational needs. Legal Aid Society - Lorain County Office
Secures justice and resolves fundamental problems for those who are low income and vulnerable, by providing high quality legal services and working for systemic solutions. Main office: (440) 324-1121
Womensafe Inc. (Geauga County)

Legal Aid Society of Cleveland
Provides legal services at no cost handling cases that involve basic needs such as health, shelter and safety, economics, education, and access to justice. Apply by phone according to specific languages or online for Legal Aid to complete an intake interview and determine financial eligibility. Applicants may self-report income and asset information about their household, but do not need to provide other documentation when completing intake.

The Cleveland Metropolitan Bar Association
Offers legal advice and resources, and can connect you to a relevant lawyer via their Lawyer Referral Service. After a confidential intake interview, you will receive a referral to an attorney and/or additional resources. The referral and initial consultation are free. A non-profit law firm serving the legal needs of low-income and senior Ohioans in Columbiana, Mahoning, Medina, Portage, Stark, Summit, Trumbull, and Wayne counties. Here you can find a list of all their main office locations, including each area's contact information.
Disability Rights Ohio
